Spreadsheet Design

There are three basic structures for entering data:

  • Many nominal distributions to a single invoice
  • Many invoices and nominal distributions for a single supplier
  • Many customers, invoices and nominal distributions

In all cases batch number is a header cell. In addition to this, you will need to consider how you will enter your VAT

1.Multiple Nominal Distributions to a Single Invoice

The template should have single Excel cell supplier, invoice number and invoice amount, and other header/detail ranges ranges, in the header of the sheet. Posting codes and amounts are columns.

2. Multiple Invoices and Nominal Distributions to a Single Customer

The template should have a single Excel cell customer code range in the header of the sheet. Invoice number and invoice amounts, posting codes and amounts should be columns.
