Using Browses

It is possible to list some Sage data directly from Excel using Excelerator. For example, in the standard template for NL Journal Excelerator, if you select a cell in the nominal_code range, right click you will see:

Browse Window

If you select Browse Records then the following will be displayed:Browsing Records

As shown, if you start entering a number, then the browse auto-completes the entry, and jumps to that data. You can select a posting code, click OK, and the posting code will be displayed in the cell. In the browse, clicking on the description column header reorders the list in description order:

Click on the descriptions coloumn

The auto-complete then works on the description instead. This allows quick look ups based on data like descriptions. This feature is available on all browse columns.

Some browses have Advanced Browses available.
